BRISBANE, Australia

iMDsoft®, a leader in clinical information systems, announced that Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, a new oncology hospital set in Sydney, Australia, chose MetaVision® for their critical care and perioperative units. Lifehouse, a world-class integrated cancer center, opened its doors in November 2013. The center will implement MetaVision as their full-featured clinical information systems, including iMDsoft’s new cross-patient management functionality, which enables tracking and prioritizing of activities across care units.

MetaVision generates comprehensive, accurate, and actionable electronic medical records, offering minute-by-minute patient data collection and display. Advanced medication management ensures safe drug prescribing and administration. MetaVision offers workflow coverage across the entire continuum of care, maintaining a single patient record throughout ICUs, pre-op units, ORs, recovery units and general floors.

MetaVision’s dynamic patient-centric information repository and decision support options promote the delivery of best practices, protocols, and regulatory requirements. The system interoperates with a range of hospital information systems and medical devices, and interfaces with the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Society (ANZICS) reporting requirements for automatic data submission.

Chief Information Officer of Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, Anne Marie Hadley, said, “Chris O’Brien Lifehouse is focused on delivering high quality, innovative, patient-centered care. To support our vision, Lifehouse has invested in state of the art clinical information systems that will meet the needs of our patients and clinicians, and support care delivery in our world class cancer care facility. We chose to implement the MetaVision clinical information system for intensive care and anaesthesia as it provides us with a flexible, data-rich information system at the point of care and will evolve with our organisational needs for the long term.”

“We are honored to join Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in their mission of transforming cancer treatment in Australia,” said Mike Myers, CEO of iMDsoft. “Lifehouse is a valuable addition to our growing customer base in Australia, which includes prestigious networks and hospitals such as Queensland Health, New South Wales Health, Sydney Adventist Hospital and Macquarie University Hospital.”
