DALLAS

Anthelio Healthcare Solutions Inc. (Anthelio®) and Michigan Trauma Coalition® (MTC) announced that Anthelio has agreed to create and deliver a customized, trauma specific ICD-10-CM/PCS training program for MTC. Anthelio® is a leading provider of comprehensive information technology (IT) services and business process (BP) solutions for healthcare providers. MTC is a non-profit, membership organization comprised of trauma centers, healthcare professionals and organizations dedicated to reducing traumatic injuries.

Anthelio® will create a customized solution for MTC that will provide training necessary to prepare the MTC members for the ICD-10-CM/PCS go-live date in October 2014. The primary objective of MTC is to provide a cost-efficient, compliance-driven ICD-10-CM/PCS training course that will prepare its members for the increased specificity of the ICD-10-CM/PCS update and the associated complexities.

“We understand the importance of learning about the impending changes with ICD-10-CM/PCS and the associated scope and complexity. However, trauma registrars and staff only code for trauma related injuries, procedures, etc. We were looking for training that was specific to our needs. One of the Anthelio representatives provided a brief overview to our State Trauma Registrar Committee which opened the door to discussions that led to the development of this course,” said Joann Burrington, MTC board member and chair of the MI Trauma Nurses Committee. “By selecting Anthelio to create a customized solution for trauma related ICD-10-CM/PCS training, we can better prepare our members for the challenging complexities associated with the new code structure.”

A relationship between the MTC and Anthelio enables the MTC to harness the capabilities and expertise of Anthelio’s ICD-10-CM/PCS AHIMA approved trainers who each have more than 12 years of experience. The Anthelio ICD-10-CM/PCS trauma training program offers trauma centers a customized solution based upon the code sets applicable to a trauma department.

“As a leader in providing coding, medical record and information technology solutions to the hospitals where MTC members are located, Anthelio has the coding expertise, focus and dedication to meet the MTC’s specific needs,” said Rick Kneipper, Anthelio’s CEO (Interim) and Co-Founder. “Backed by our CDI, ICD-10-CM/PCS readiness programs, Anthelio is positioned and prepared to address these challenges for MTC in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.”
